history of the randolph hotel
Fox Lake Illinois
In the 1920's Andrew Wiborb was the proprietor of The Randolph Hotel, which at the time the area was called “Hotel Row". This row of hotels located in Fox Lake Illinois on the shores of Nippersink lake became a haven for gambling and liquor during the prohibition era.

In the summer of 1929 raids there conducted in Lake County Illinois and specifically The Randolph Hotel shutting down establishments serving liquor to the public.

Flash forward to 2022 the randolph hotel has been fully remodeled and it to this day the only hotel and brewery located on the chain o lakes!
